I started my professional career in the IT & Telecommunications Industry, where I had the opportunity to work on real-time platforms and develop products to solve technical issues.
Keen to pass my experience on to the next generation, I started my career as a teacher of Computing and ICT 17 years ago. Since then, I have taught both primary and secondary computing curricula.
In September 2014, I was authorised also to teach maths. When teaching maths I stress its importance as a fundamental intellectual tool in computing, and therefore I often design project assignments where computing can be used as a key component in mathematical problem-solving.
I continuously follow teacher training seminars to keep abreast of new educational approaches and further develop my teaching skills. Inspired by participating in various Comenius and Erasmus+ courses, I started to write and facilitate my own Erasmus+ teacher training courses, covering topics relating to ICT and creative approaches to education.
You can find more information about the courses I have designed and facilitate at CodeNPlay (ASBL) by clicking here.
